My work. My language. My portfolio projects with dates and company names changed just enough to make them look like his.
Even phrases from one of my conference talks had been copied almost word for word.
I told him to remove them.
He ignored me.
So I quietly contacted the companies involved and sent proof of my original work—timestamps, contracts, Git logs, everything.
That was when my mother called.
“What did you do?” she snapped. “Connor said you got him blacklisted. He was just trying to build a career. He admired your work. You should be proud.”
“Mom, he stole from me.”
“You always twist things,” she said. “No wonder no one wants to be around you anymore.”
Then she hung up.
I stopped waiting for an apology after that.
I built my own product instead.
