Patricia gave me a warning look.
Not now.
She was right.
Geoffrey pulled out his phone.
“I have copies.”
My heart began beating faster.
“Show me.”
He searched his email.
Several seconds passed.
Then a full minute.
His expression changed.
“They’re gone.”
“What?”
“The emails.”
“You deleted them?”
“No.”
“Maybe archived?”
“I don’t know.”
He searched again.
Then he opened a cloud storage app.
“I saved the documents.”
He tapped through folders.
Nothing.
“They were here.”
Patricia said softly, “Could Allison access your account?”
Geoffrey looked at her.
“She knows the password.”
Of course she did.
He stood.
“I need to go home.”
I stood too.
“No.”
He turned.
“Dad.”
“Do not go there and start accusing anyone.”
“That’s my wife.”
“Exactly.”
His jaw tightened.
“I have a right to talk to her.”
“Yes. But first you need to understand what you signed.”
He stared at me.
