In one message, Connor had asked whether the colleague could help him obtain access to my private development repository.
In another, he had claimed that I was emotionally unstable and had agreed to transfer ownership of the software to him.
There was even a message in which he discussed using my name as a reference without my permission.
Richard read the messages silently.
Then he turned toward Connor.
“Did you tell me you personally developed this technology?”
Connor swallowed.
“I… I was involved in the development process.”
“That’s not what I asked.”
Nobody spoke.
Richard pulled out his phone.
“Your consulting agreement with Glenidge Holdings is suspended effective immediately. Our legal department will review everything you’ve submitted to us.”
Connor’s expression changed completely.
“Richard, please. We can discuss this privately.”
“No,” Richard replied. “We should have discussed it before you presented someone else’s work as your own.”
