Do you usually focus on what is happening immediately, or do you think about where your decisions might lead?
There is another possible interpretation worth exploring.
The elephant’s size may draw attention because it dominates the scene. Large, recognizable shapes often
capture the eye before smaller or less obvious elements. Your response may have more to do with visual organization than personality.
That distinction matters.
It would be inaccurate to conclude that everyone who notices the elephant is naturally wise, patient, dependable, or emotionally mature. People are much more complex than a single visual preference.
Nevertheless, the elephant can serve as a reminder of the importance of perspective.
As people grow older, they often gain experiences that change how they evaluate problems. An inconvenience that once seemed disastrous may eventually appear manageable. A disappointment may reveal an opportunity that was not obvious at first.
Experience does not automatically make every person wiser, but it can provide more information to draw upon.
