The twelfth of September, 2023. The ninth of February, 2024. The second of August, 2024. The nineteenth of January, 2025.
All four of them are about the same thing, and the last one is nine lines long and ends: Des, please. I need this finished. Just tell me which solicitor and I will do the paperwork myself.
For two years that woman had been asking him to end their marriage.
And he had not.
He told her in the February of 2024 that it was with his solicitor. He told her in the August that there had been a delay at the court. He told her in the January of 2025 that it was done and that the paperwork was being posted.
It was not done. He had never instructed anybody. There is no file at any firm in Ellersby and we have looked.
