I put a laxative in my husband’s coffee before he left to see his mistress… but what happened next was worse than I imagined

Part 4: The Airport Standoff
I didn’t call the police right away—there wasn’t enough time to explain three years of financial fraud to a dispatcher. Instead, I called my cousin Leo, who worked as a senior customs officer at Terminal 2, and sped toward the airport like a woman possessed.

When I arrived at the international departures hall, the crowd was thick, but the sweet, overwhelming aroma of that expensive cologne was unmistakable. I followed the scent toward the VIP lounge entrance.

There he was. Mark was leaning heavily against a pillar, looking incredibly pale, sweaty, and exhausted, clutching a briefcase to his chest. Standing next to him was Caroline, holding two passports and looking at him with deep disgust as he visibly winced from another wave of stomach cramps.

“Mark!” I yelled, my voice cutting through the terminal noise.

They both spun around. Mark’s eyes widened in sheer terror. He tried to bolt toward the security line, but his body betrayed him. A sharp spike of pain in his abdomen made him double over, dropping the briefcase flat onto the shiny airport floor.

Caroline didn’t even hesitate. She grabbed the briefcase, abandoned Mark right there on the floor, and ran toward the gate.

Part 5: The Final Liquidation
Caroline thought she was making a clean getaway, but she didn’t realize I had already reached out to Leo. The moment she crossed the security threshold, two airport police officers stepped out, blocking her path and securing the briefcase.

Mark was still on the floor, groaning in a beautiful mixture of physical agony and crushing defeat.

I walked over, looking down at the man who had spent months trying to systematically ruin my life and steal my inheritance. I knelt beside him, picked up his fallen passport from the floor, and slipped it into my own coat pocket.

“You know, Mark,” I whispered, smiling sweetly as the security team approached us, “you were right. Strategy, projects, cooperation… it really is all about the execution.”

The police detained both Mark and Caroline on the spot. Because the financial documents and forged signatures were physically in the briefcase outside the security zone, the authorities had immediate probable cause to freeze all the accounts pending a full federal investigation.

Two hours later, I was back at the kitchen table, enjoying a fresh, completely unaltered cup of coffee. Mark was spending his evening in a holding cell with very limited bathroom privileges, and Caroline was facing charges as an accessory to grand theft.

He wanted to leave me with absolutely nothing, but his own greed—and a very well-timed cup of spiked coffee—turned his grand escape into a public disaster. Tomorrow, my lawyer would file for absolute divorce, and for the first time in years, the future smelled incredibly fresh.
