The first two show geological features in the specific documentary style of someone who came to the wilderness not to conquer it, but to know it.
The third shows the open hand extended from the edge of the frame. Its identity unresolved, its presence unexplained, its palm open toward the lens in a [music] gesture that could mean any number of things depending on the moment and the eye and what the light was like when it was made.
