Delivery Driver Thought No One Was Home—Until the Customer Saw What He Was Doing with Her Order and Rushed Outside!

those terrible days when every little thing seemed to go wrong. I had woken up with a breakout on my chin, dealt with an exhausting meeting at work, and learned that a problem under my kitchen sink might cost several hundred dollars to repair. By the time I got home, I had no energy left to deal with anyone.

I changed into my pajamas, washed my face, and ordered Chinese food. When the driver called to say he was nearby, I looked in the mirror and decided I did not want anyone to see me. My hair was a mess, and my face was covered in acne cream.

So I told him I was not home yet and asked him to leave the food by the door.

After ending the call, I returned to my movie. However, I soon remembered that packages sometimes disappeared from porches in my neighborhood. Worried

that someone might steal my dinner, I turned off the lamp near my window and watched for the delivery car.

When the driver arrived, he accidentally walked toward my neighbor’s house. I called him to correct the mistake, and he apologized before moving under my neighbor’s covered porch to protect the order from the rain.

Then I noticed him opening his delivery bag.

Immediately, I became suspicious. I had seen stories online about delivery drivers tampering with customers’ food, and my imagination jumped to the worst possible conclusion. I watched closely as he took out my paper takeout bag, whose bottom had become wet and weak from the rain.

But what happened next surprised me.

He carefully removed each sealed food container and placed it on top of his clean insulated bag. Then he took paper towels from his

car and wiped every container, making sure the lids and sides were dry. After discovering that the paper bag was beginning to fall apart, he threw it away and returned with a clean reusable grocery bag.

He repacked the food, dried the sauce packets and fortune cookies, and carefully placed everything inside. Finally, he removed his own rain jacket and held it over the food as he prepared to cross the street.
