The appearance introduced her to a wider television audience as a singer pursuing an opportunity in
the music industry.
During her audition, she performed Bonnie Raitt’s “Something to Talk About.”
The song provided an opportunity for viewers to hear her voice and evaluate her performance as a musician.
Her participation also attracted attention because of her father’s fame.
However, the competition required her to perform and demonstrate her abilities independently.
Jane did not advance far in the contest.
