I see someone who still has plenty of care left to give.
That experience taught me something I won’t forget.
Sometimes the person we think needs saving has already found a way to save someone else.
And sometimes the stranger we are most suspicious of is simply another lonely person who needed a door to open.
I entered Dorothy’s home expecting to uncover something frightening.
Instead, I found two people who had quietly given each other something neither one had enough of before:
A little help.
A little dignity.
A little companionship.
And, most importantly, a place to belong.
