« Exactly! Come on, Sarah. When did we last do something ridiculous together? »
« I don’t know. I’ve had enough excitement from dating lately. »
Imagine their faces!
Zoe laughed. « Oh, come on. One disappointing guy doesn’t mean you have to become a hermit. »
« Two disappointing guys. »
« Even better reason to have some fun! »
I laughed. « Fine. But you’re buying dessert. »
« Deal! »
I was worried Zoe’s friends would figure out I wasn’t her. It never occurred to me that one of them might have a reason to hate her.
They just don’t know we’re identical.
Zoe lent me her green sweater, black jeans, and favorite earrings.
« At least you’re not stealing my beige coat again, » she teased.
« I borrowed it once! »
« And my handbag. »
« I gave them back! »
She laughed and helped me copy her hairstyle.
One of them might have a reason to hate her.
